Gavyn Davies, Founding Partner

Gavyn is a Founding Partner of Anthos, a founder of Prisma Capital Partners, a $4 billion fund of hedge funds, Chairman of Fulcrum Asset Management, a $1.5 billion macro hedge fund, and a founder of Active Private Equity in the UK. Previously, Gavyn was Chairman of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in the UK. Prior to that, he was a Partner and Managing Director of Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he was the firm’s Chief Economist and Chairman of the Global Investment Research Department. Before joining Goldman Sachs, he was an economic advisor to the British Government.
Gavyn was educated at St. John’s College in Cambridge and Balliol College in Oxford.
Thomas Healey, Founding Partner

Tom is a Founding Partner of Anthos, a founder of Prisma Capital Partners, a $4 billion fund of hedge funds, and a founder of FIA Timber Partners, a $750 million timberland real estate fund. Previously, Tom was a Partner and Managing Director of Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he created the Real Estate Capital Markets and Pension Services groups. Before joining Goldman Sachs, he was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Domestic Finance under former President Ronald Reagan. Prior to that, he was head of Corporate Finance at Dean Witter Reynolds. Tom is currently a Senior Fellow and Adjunct Lecturer at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
Tom received a B.A. from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Tom serves on the Board of Trustees of the Rockefeller Foundation, the Board of Directors of Georgetown University, the Board of Overseers of the Hoover Institution, and is involved with several other non-profit institutions, including the Trustees of Reservations in Boston, the Maryknoll Missionaries, and Morristown Memorial Health Foundation.
Eff Martin, Founding Partner

Eff is a Founding Partner of Anthos. Previously, Eff was a Partner and Managing Director of Goldman Sachs & Co. where he led the firm's investment banking coverage of many of the most prominent technology companies, including Adobe Systems, Agilent Technologies, Apple Computer, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, and Sun Microsystems. He was involved in the early stages of the firm's High Technology effort and provided guidance to many emerging growth companies. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Eff was a Managing Director at Dean Witter Reynolds.
Eff received a B.A. and an M.S. from Rice University and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. Eff serves on the Board of Regents of Pepperdine University and the Board of Governors of the San Francisco Symphony. He is active in a variety of community organizations and is an elder at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church.
John Hagerty, Partner
Morristown
John is a Partner and founding member of Anthos, and a Partner of Healey Development, a private investment management firm. Previously, John spent nearly 20 years in a career in Investment Banking with Salomon Brothers and Merrill Lynch. His area of focus was in Leveraged Finance in which he held roles in origination and management, responsible for raising billions of dollars of capital for clients in the below investment grade arena globally across loan, bond, and mezzanine products. These transactions related to client activity in the arenas of Leveraged Buyouts, Corporate Acquisitions and Recapitalizations as well as Growth Capital. At Salomon Brothers, he headed the High Yield Capital Markets desk. At Merrill Lynch, John headed the High Yield Capital Markets desk and also oversaw Loan Capital Markets and the Private Placement Group. He was Head of the Leveraged Finance Operating Committee and was a member of the Mezzanine Investment Committee, and the Debt Markets Commitment Committee.
John received a B.A. from Williams College.
Paul Farr, Partner
San Mateo
Paul is a Partner and founding member of Anthos. Previously, Paul was an investment professional at Canyon Capital Advisors, a $12 billion multi-strategy hedge fund. Prior to Canyon, Paul was with Summit Partners, an $8.5 billion global private equity fund. Earlier in his career, he was an associate in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he advised and financed companies in the telecom, media, healthcare, and consumer products industries.
Paul received a B.Com. in Finance from McGill University where he was a Robert Bruce scholar and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. Paul serves on the Board of Trustees of the Sierra Club Foundation.
Bryan Kelly, Partner
San Mateo
Bryan is a Partner and founding member of Anthos. Previously, Bryan worked for PCG Advisors (a spin-off of North Castle Partners), a private equity firm focused on investments in the Healthy/Active Living Industry, where he was involved in deal sourcing and execution. Earlier in his career, Bryan worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Investment Banking Division and Equity Derivatives group.
Bryan received a B.A. in economics from Vanderbilt University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was in the top 1% of his graduating class and a J.D./M.B.A. from Stanford University where he was an Arjay Miller scholar.
Timothy Corriero, Partner
San Mateo
Tim is a Partner of Anthos, and a Partner of Healey Development, a private investment management firm. Tim is also a Managing Director of FIA Timber Partners, a $750 million timberland investment management fund managed, in part, by Healey Development. Prior to joining Healey Development, Tim held positions as an investment banker with Goldman Sachs' Mergers & Strategic Advisory Groups and as a corporate attorney with Shearman & Sterling where he participated in a number of corporate finance, M&A, specialized finance and restructuring projects.
Tim received a B.A. from Colgate University where he graduated magna cum laude and a J.D. from Harvard Law School where he graduated cum laude.
Wallace Hawley, Special Limited Partner
Wally is a Special Limited Partner of Anthos. Previously, Wally was the co-founder and General Partner of InterWest Partners, one of the first venture capital firms in the country. Since raising InterWest's first fund in 1979, Wally has played a formative role in the success of more than 200 companies. Prior to founding InterWest, Wally was president of SHV North America Holding Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of a Netherlands corporation and a consultant with McKinsey and Company in their San Francisco and Amsterdam Offices.
Wally received a B.A. from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. Wally serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Stanford Institute of Economic Policy Research and is a guest lecturer at Stanford Business School. He is active in a variety of community organizations and is an elder at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church.
